As we’re sure you’re aware, we’ve been popping up in Moreton-in-Marsh for the last few weeks. The Popup Moreton shop is a wonderful space; perfect for showing our pieces alongside our guest designers. For those who can’t make it along, we thought we’d put together a virtual tour of the Outsider shop.
Jewellery by Sarah Pulvertaft - www.sarahpulvertaft.com
Our first guest designer is Sarah Pulvertaft. After establishing her jewellery workshop in 1995, she is now based in rural Oxfordshire, where she continues to sell her distinctive brand of contemporary jewellery.
We love the intricacy of her handmade pieces and have continued with a lovely edited selection within the shop. Of course, you can contact Sarah to arrange a visit to her workshop in Charlbury to view the full collection.
Coats by Cecilia Hammarborg - www.ceciliahammarborg.co.uk
Having previously produced a capsule collection for Urban Outfitters, Swedish designer Cecilia Hammarborg’s own line fuses classic construction and modern design to create clothing that echoes glamour and luxury.
As our second guest designer, we love the blend of tailored design, beautiful wool fabrics and that these pieces are made in England. They’ve been proving very popular in the shop this week!
Children’s nightwear by Auraley - www.auraley.com
Ethically made Auraley is our third guest designer. Arriving in the shop next week, this luxurious sleepwear is grounded on what every parent knows only too well – that sleep is extremely important to a child. We love their classic yet contemporary styles, which favour high quality and sustainably sourced materials.
Illustrated greeting cards by Karen Grout – http://www.karengrout.com
Our final guest designer is Karen Grout, an illustrator who creates hand drawn and conceptual drawings, often with a surreal feel. The full range consists of limited edition prints, printed products and illustrated greeting cards – which we’re lucky enough to have a selection of in store. Her designs emphasise a timeless aesthetic, and we love their individuality and quirkiness.
So that concludes our shop tour. With one week to go, we hope you will have a chance to visit us. Old Market Way is just a five minute walk from Moreton-in-Marsh Train station, jump on the train at Paddington and you’ll be with us in no time.
